From Studio to Doorstep

Every product on Nunua passes through five stages before it reaches you. Here is what each stage involves.

01
๐Ÿ”
Sourcing & Discovery

Our Nairobi team identifies artisan studios through community referrals, market visits and craft fairs across East and West Africa. We look for authentic craft practice, sustainable materials and makers who own their production.

Vetting & Standards

Every vendor completes a quality audit covering materials, working conditions and production capacity. Products are reviewed for craft quality, consistency and originality before listing approval is granted.

Batching & QC

Products arrive at our Nairobi fulfilment centre in production batches. Each batch undergoes QC review โ€” checking dimensions, finish, packaging and documentation before goods are received into inventory.

Orders placed on Nunua or BleuAllusion.com trigger our fulfilment workflow. We dispatch within 2โ€“5 business days via DHL, FedEx or local carriers depending on destination. All orders are tracked and logged.

Vendor Payouts

Artisan partners receive payment on a bi-monthly cycle via M-Pesa or bank transfer. Commissions are transparent and fixed at onboarding. All payouts are approved and documented through our ops system.

What We Require

Every vendor on Nunua is bound to these standards as a condition of partnership.

01
๐Ÿ–๏ธ
Handcraft Integrity

Products listed on Nunua must be primarily handmade by the vendor or their employed artisans. We do not list resellers of mass-produced goods. Machine-finished components are permitted where disclosed.

Handmade Artisan-made No resellers
02
๐ŸŒฑ
Material Transparency

Vendors are required to disclose all primary materials, their origin country and sourcing method. We give preference to natural, locally-sourced materials. Synthetic materials must be disclosed in the product listing.

Origin labelling Natural materials Full disclosure
03
โš–๏ธ
Fair Compensation

Commission rates are fixed and transparent. We do not charge listing fees. All vendors receive their payout schedule in writing at onboarding. We conduct annual compensation reviews with all partners.

Transparent rates No listing fees Written agreements
04
๐Ÿญ
Working Conditions

Vendor studios are subject to periodic site visits by our sourcing team. We require compliance with local labour law and maintain a zero-tolerance policy on child labour and unsafe conditions.

Quality Consistency

Products must meet the specification agreed at onboarding across every batch. QC failures result in batch rejection and are documented. Three QC failures in twelve months trigger a full vendor review.

Accurate Representation

All product images must accurately represent the item. We prohibit edited or composite images that misrepresent colour, scale or finish. Sample photos are reviewed before any product goes live on Nunua.

Questions We Answer

We believe transparency builds better partnerships. Here are the questions we get most.

Who owns Bleu Sanaa?

Bleu Sanaa is a product of Bleu Allusion Limited, a company registered in Nairobi, Kenya. The company is founder-owned and operated by Nathaniel Blue Jr. and a small team based in Nairobi and Atlanta.

How are your vendors selected?

Vendors apply through our vendor portal or are referred by existing partners. All applications go through a sourcing review, a quality sample assessment and a video or in-person meeting before approval. We currently onboard a limited number of new vendors per quarter.

What is your commission structure?

Standard vendor commission is 12% of the product sale price. House brand and exclusive collection rates are set individually and disclosed in the vendor agreement. There are no hidden fees.

How quickly are vendors paid?

Vendors are paid on a bi-monthly cycle โ€” the 15th and last day of each month โ€” for all orders fulfilled in the preceding fortnight. Payments are made via M-Pesa for Kenyan vendors and SWIFT bank transfer for international partners.
